Rattlesnake Lake and Ledge for water and mountain views, riverside meadows with Mount Si behind you, forest trails, or a private venue for a small celebration. Some parks and trails need a pass or permit for ceremonies, so we'll check together before you choose.
Late April through October is the easiest time for trails. Spring brings the fullest waterfalls, summer the longest evenings and fall the color. Popular spots are quietest on weekdays or at sunrise.
The forest is beautiful on cloudy days. The light is soft and even, so a grey sky here is actually a gift.
North Bend is about forty minutes east of Seattle on I-90. Close enough for a slow morning, far enough to feel like a real escape.
